Networking Forums

The CTD is building and hosting a number of networking forums for different planning disciplines and expertise. Check in often to see what new groups have been added. 

If you would like to create/host a forum group, please send us a note and we will build the idea with you: info@wactd.org 

These forums are intended for Conservation District staff. If you are not a Washington State Conservation District staff and would like to attend please email us at: info@wactd.org

The CTD, WSCC, WADE, and WACD have come together to bring you the Building Better Leadership and Management Learning Community. The goal of this monthly series is to introduce different management/leadership related topics and provide information, insight, strategies and discussion amongst peers. Together we can build a better community of District leaders now and into the future.

Dairy Planner Networking Forum

2nd Tuesdays in Feb, May, Aug, Nov - 11:00am-noon

Karen Hills with the Washington State Conservation Commission will be joining us to provide dairy planners with an update on funding opportunities expected to be released in early 2024 related to dairy anaerobic digesters, alternative manure management, and research and demonstration projects.

Smartsheet Networking Forum

No Smartsheet Forum dates currently on the schedule -- WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The Smartsheet Forum needs a champion!   We're are exploring some new ideas for sharing Smartsheet information outside of the forum; short (2min) training videos, a Help Line, and more.  If you have ideas or would like to be involved, please reach out!  Email training@wactd.org.

Many Districts are adopting Smartsheet, but need support, ideas, and more information on the functions of Smartsheet. This group will provide a community space for Districts to learn, share, and advance our Smartsheet skills together!

Snohomish CDs Engineer Team is offering a monthly drop in event for all CD staff where you may try to 'Stump an Engineer' with your questions.  No need to be an engineer, or be a part of the Snohomish CD cluster.  Come one, come all!  Drop in as your schedule allows and ask questions about upcoming or current projects, next steps in the planning process,  get to know you questions, other engineer related questions, or just say Hi!

Wildfire & Forestry Networking Forum

The Forestry Forum is now the Wildfire & Forestry Forum!   

Second Wednesdays in July, October, January and April @ 9am - 10am

Join Conservation District wildfire mitigation (“firewise”) and forestry practitioners from around Washington to connect, share, and learn. We will share and learn what’s working, what’s challenging, and what needs are emerging in the areas of reducing wildfire hazards to individual homes and small communities, non-commercial forestry, small woodland assessments, and related topics. Are you looking for BMPs in laying out a community wildfire project? Have a “war story” to share about running a chipping program? Let’s talk! This will be a quarterly series shaped by our needs and inputs in this increasingly important area of work.
