Join Conservation District wildfire mitigation (“firewise”) and forestry practitioners from around Washington to connect, share, and learn. We will share and learn what’s working, what’s challenging, and what needs are emerging in the areas of reducing wildfire hazards to individual homes and small communities, non-commercial forestry, small woodland assessments, and related topics. Are you looking for BMPs in laying out a community wildfire project? Have a “war story” to share about running a chipping program? Let’s talk! This is a regular series shaped by our needs and inputs in this increasingly important area of work.
