The training and professional development links below are endorsed by the CTD Training Workgroup. General

Coastal Training Program - The Coastal Training Program provides practical, science-based training to professionals who make decisions about shoreline management in Western and Eastern Washington. A variety of in-person and web classes are available for all disciplines. Check out their course catalog for opportunities.

eXtension Projects, Topics, and Webinars - The eXtension Foundation is a member-based nonprofit established by Extension Directors and Administrators nationwide. eXtension is embedded in the U.S. Cooperative Extension System and provides connections and on-line resources to a large number of topics (i.e., agriculture, fisheries, energy, health, youth, etc.). The service also offers fee based courses for planners and landowners in a large number of topics through Catalog.

USFW National Conservation Training Center - Find a list of both in-person and on-line training for a large number of topics and disciplines in the conversation world.

Soils

NRCS Soil Education - Soil education tools from NRCS to both learn and deliver soils information.

Soil Health Nexus - The North Central Region Soil Health Nexus is a university-led team dedicated to increasing access to research-based soil health knowledge, extension and resources.

Soil Health Institute - The Soil Health Institute employs a comprehensive, strategic approach for advancing adoption of soil health systems including science based information and resources.

Climate

Agricultural Climate Network - The Pacific Northwest AgClimate Network is a web-based hub for communication between regional scientists and stakeholders about climate change and agricultural and natural resources topics. They post a variety of on-line and in-person training opportunities about ag and climate topics.

Water

EPA Watershed Academy - The Watershed Academy provides self-paced training modules and webcasts from national experts about a range of watershed management topics including ecology, management practices, planning, community and law.

Wetlands

ASWM-NRCS Wetland Training Webinar Series - This webinar series has been designed to provide participants with a general level of knowledge about wetlands and wetland restoration options and considerations. Participants will come away with key knowledge, the ability to be more conversant about wetland issues, knowing what questions to ask when looking at restoration opportunities, and knowing when to contact or bring in an expert.

Wetland Training Institute - Wetland Training Institute, Inc. provides professional training in wetland delineation, soils and hydrology, federal regulatory policy, wetland construction and restoration, plant identification, mitigation banking concepts, wetland policy and permitting, and other riparian resources conservation issues.

Society for Ecological Restoration - SER partners with government agencies, intergovernmental organizations, NGOs, and the private sector to advance the science and practice of ecological restoration for the benefit of biodiversity, ecosystems, and humans. The Society provides a robust and dynamic platform through which to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, networking, research, and policy discussions in addition to certification and training.

Air

NRCS Air Quality and Animal Agriculture - The NRCS Air Quality and Animal Agriculture course is now available in AgLearn (search for “Air Quality and Animal Agriculture” after you log into AgLearn). This course introduces NRCS employees and others to the air emissions associated with animal operations and provides some information on how we can help mitigate these emissions. The non-eAuthentication versions of the NRCS Air Quality and Animal Agriculture course can be found on Conservation Webinars.

Livestock

LPELC Webinar Series - The Livestock and Poultry Environmental Learning Community offers a free monthly webinar on a variety of issues related to animal manure management.
